Water4All Call 2023: the second joint call of the Water4All European Partnership is open

Water4All Call 2023: Aquatic Ecosystem Services is open. This call is part of the Water4All European Partnership call portfolio. This is the second joint international call under this European Partnership. The main objective of this call is to support research and innovation projects aimed at improving the long-term security of water resources.

Project proposals can be submitted until 13 November 2023, 15:00 CET.

The conditions for applicants from the Czech Republic are based on the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) SIGMA programme (Sub-objective 4 – International Cooperation), from which successful Czech applicants will be funded. Czech applicants can be research organisations or private companies.

The total amount of TA CR support for the call for Czech applicants in international projects is € 450 000. The maximum amount of support per project is 150 000 €. The maximum allowable funding intensity for the Czech side of the project is 80% of the total eligible costs of the project.

Projects may be submitted by international consortia of at least three eligible partners requesting funding from participating funding partner organisations from three different countries participating in the call. In addition to the above condition, projects must involve at least two independent legal entities from two different EU Member States or countries associated to Horizon Europe as beneficiaries of financial support. 

The upper limit of eligible project partners in a consortium is 7, including 1 potential self-funding partner. There shall be no more than one self-funded project partner per project consortium.

Themes of the call:

  • Mapping, monitoring, and assessment for a better understanding of ecosystem services in a context of changes, from local to global change.
  • Understanding and predicting multiple pressures (including anthropogenic pressures) – impact – response relationships in ecosystem services through advanced methods and techniques.
  • New tools and solutions for a better integration of ecosystem services into the management of water resources.

The deadline for receiving project pre-proposals is 13 November 2023, 15:00 CET.
